Using Superdone with Zoom Meetings

Updated 4 August 2026

Superdone works with Zoom in two parts. First you connect your Zoom account, which authorizes Superdone to join meetings on your behalf. Then you choose how Superdone joins: automatically for meetings on your calendar, or on demand when you paste a Zoom link.

Connecting Your Zoom Account

Connecting Zoom is what lets Superdone join calls reliably on your behalf and gives it the meeting details it needs to organize what it captures.

  1. Open Settings and select Integrations.

  2. Find the Zoom tile and click Connect App.

  3. A Zoom window opens. Sign in to Zoom and review the access Superdone is requesting.

  4. Click Allow. The window closes on its own and the Zoom tile now shows as connected.

Superdone asks Zoom for read-only access to your meeting details and your basic profile information. It will never create, edit, delete, or start meetings in your Zoom account.

To check the connection at any time, click the Zoom tile on the Integrations page. You'll see the Zoom account Superdone is connected to, along with a Disconnect button.

Note: Connecting Zoom is per user. Each person on your team who wants Superdone in their Zoom calls connects their own Zoom account.

Choosing How Superdone Joins Your Meetings

Once your Google Calendar is connected, Superdone detects calendar events that contain a Zoom link and can join them for you.

To set your preference, open Settings, select Recording, and choose one of the options under Recording Preferences:

  • Record all meetings — Superdone joins every meeting on your calendar that has a Zoom link.

  • Record only meetings I organize — Superdone joins only the meetings you created.

  • Let me select each meeting manually — Superdone joins nothing by default; you opt in meeting by meeting.

Click Save Changes to apply your choice.

Whichever mode you pick, you always keep per-meeting control. In your meetings list, each upcoming meeting has a recording toggle — switch it on to add Superdone to a meeting, or off to keep Superdone out of one. If you haven't connected Zoom yet and toggle on a Zoom meeting, Superdone prompts you to connect first.

Tip: If you only want Superdone in a handful of calls, choose Let me select each meeting manually and toggle on the meetings that matter.

Recording an Ad Hoc Zoom Meeting

For a Zoom call that isn't on your calendar — someone sends you a link, or a conversation turns into a call — you can send Superdone to it directly.

  1. On the Superdone home screen, click Record Meeting in the top right corner.

  2. Paste the Zoom URL into the Meeting URL field.

  3. Add a Meeting Title.

  4. Choose a Project, or leave it on Detect automatically and Superdone will file the meeting for you.

  5. Under Schedule, choose Join Now to send Superdone straight into the call, or Schedule for Later and set a date and time.

  6. Click Join Meeting or Schedule Meeting.

Superdone joins the call as a participant. If the meeting has a waiting room, admit Superdone the same way you would any other guest. Google Meet and Microsoft Teams links work here too.

What Happens After the Meeting

Superdone captures the conversation and turns it into a summary with decisions, action items, and risks, then links it to the right project — the same as any other meeting it attends. You'll find it in your meetings list and on the project it belongs to.

Disconnecting Zoom

You can remove Superdone's access to your Zoom account at any time:

  • From Superdone: Open Settings → Integrations, click the Zoom tile, and click Disconnect.

  • From Zoom: Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace, go to Manage → Added Apps, find Superdone, and click Remove.

Disconnecting revokes Superdone's access to your Zoom account. Meeting summaries Superdone has already produced stay in your workspace. To stop Superdone from joining future calendar meetings as well, set your recording preference to Let me select each meeting manually, or disconnect your Google Calendar.

Troubleshooting

Superdone didn't join a Zoom meeting. Check that the calendar event contains a Zoom link, that the meeting's recording toggle is on, and that your recording preference covers that meeting — Record only meetings I organize skips calls organized by other people.

Superdone is stuck outside the meeting. It's likely waiting in the waiting room. Admit it as you would any other participant.

The connect window didn't open. Your browser may have blocked the pop-up. Allow pop-ups for Superdone and click Connect App again.

A Zoom link isn't accepted. Superdone accepts standard Zoom join links (including vanity domains) in the form https://zoom.us/j/…. Paste the join link rather than an invitation or a dial-in-only detail.
